At Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa in Launceston, Tasmania we use Dermaroller technology to produce great results for patient looking to reduce scarring or acne with skin needling.
Thanks to Dermaroller’s (Clinic Care) release of the eDermastamp micro-needling technology, our team can now treat a variety of different skin conditions using minimally invasive techniques.
What is skin needling?
Skin needling at Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa is a treatment that involves micro-needles gently moving along the skin, perforating the surface as it travels. The treatment is successful because it causes the skin to repair itself, arousing collagen production and stimulating the cells. Directly after your eDermastamp treatment, your nurse will apply a collagen mask to your face for 10-20 minutes. This is to help calm, soothe and hydrate your skin. This is an ideal place to add on an Omnilux treatment to assist in the healing and collagen production. After the removal of the mask, Dermaquest products specifically designed for post eDermastamp will be layered onto your skin before you leave.
The eDermastamp by Dermaroller
The eDermastamp consists of six fine stainless steel micro-needles producing 50 -150 tiny punctures to the skin per second. It has been designed as a method to help treat a number of skin conditions:
- fine lines
- deep lines
- scar revision
- stretch marks
- general skin rejuvenation
Improving your skin care regime at home
The eDermastamp creates microscopic holes in the skin. It is because of this that your skin is far more susceptible to the products you use at home. This includes moisturiser, antioxidant or vitamin creams and more. We recommend no application of these products however for the following 2 days after eDermastamp treatment because it is during this time that your skin will be inflamed and these products may irritate or infect the treated area. At your first session you will be provided with Dermaquest skin care products to use for the 3 days following your treatments.
Can it be performed on any skin colour?
Since we are not using heat, yes the eDermastamp can be used on any skin colour and skin type.
How long before results are visible?
You will notice a fresher skin within 6 weeks. However your skin will continue to improve over 6-12mths.
How often can I have the eDermstamp treatment?
- For Collagen and Skin Rejuvenation – 4-6 treatments / 4 weeks apart
- For Scars and Acne Scar Reduction – 6+ treatment / 4 weeks apart
