HydraFacials and CoolSculpting Keep it cool this winter with Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa’s HydraFacial and CoolSculpting. The chilly weather has a way of making us want to snuggle up indoors when in fact, it is the best time to receive beauty treatments. At Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa, we understand that you may have a whole bunch of questions, queries and concerns in relation to the treatments offered at our clinic.
In response to this we have assembled a gallery of some of the most frequently asked questions we receive at our Launceston Clinic:
Fat cells freeze at higher temperatures than the tissues surrounding it. CoolSculpting technology allows for the precise targeting of fat cells beneath the skin in order to cool them to temperatures that trigger their natural death. This process is known as Cryolipolysis® and results in those fat cells freezing and dying. The fats crystallize faster than normal cells so there is no damage to skin, nerves or other surrounding tissue. Over time the treated fat cells will shrink and die and your body will naturally metabolize them, eliminating these dead cells, and leaving a more sculpted you. Unlike with diet or exercise where the fat cells are reduced in size, with CoolSculpting, once the treated fat cells are gone, they're gone permanently. With each session, you can decrease the number of treated fat cell by about 20% and each additional treatment further enhances your results, ridding you of an additional 20% of the treated fat cells per session.
Liposuction is a more dramatic and invasive surgical procedure that requires individuals to undergo general anaesthesia in order to have their fat removed. It works by using large tubes to pull out fat from targeted areas of the body, leaving individuals with immediate results. However, it can be a traumatic procedure and can require a week or two of recovery. CoolSculpting directly targets fat cells, freezes them and allows for your body to metabolise and be rid of these dead cells. It is minimally invasive, doesn't require surgery and therefore has no downtime.
As well all know, our health - in addition to our appearance – depends quite heavily on a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. It is imperative that you are aware that CoolSculpting cannot take the place of either of these, but rather act as an aid that can help you accomplish your goals. Diet and exercise can help reduce the appearance of fat cells, but they don't permanently rid your body of them. This is where CoolSculpting comes in as it freezes off fat cells for good, enhancing your diet plan and serving as great encouragement for continuing a healthy lifestyle.
