Get glowing skin with HydraFacial
At Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa, we offer HydraFacial, a serum-based skin resurfacing treatment that is suitable for all skin types. The treatment effectively cleanses, hydrates and exfoliates the skin to rejuvenate its overall texture and appearance.
How does it work?
The HydraFacial procedure is performed with the use of a vacuum-based skin abrasion tip, known as the Hydropeel tip. This abrasion tip delivers specially formulated serums to the skin.
This innovative procedure makes use of hydra-dermabrasion to combine cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection in just one treatment. During the procedure, dead skin cells and impurities are removed, while serums are applied to the skin to target a range of skin concerns. The serums that are used during the procedure increase the uptake of antioxidants in the skin when compared to manually applying creams to the skin.
What can it be used for?
The treatment is an effective option for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, congested and large pores, oily or acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation, and brown spots. The treatment is non-invasive, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skins. The overall goal of the treatment is to improve the health of the skin and to achieve a clear, glowing appearance.
What is so great about the procedure?
HydraFacial hits the sweet spot, it only takes 30 minutes, has no-downtime and you can see results almost immediately. The facial can quickly improve texture and tone, while helping conditions like acne, without residual irritation or peeling. There is also no pain associated with the treatment and many patients say it feels like a paintbrush moving over the face.
What skin conditions does HydraFacial treat?
HydraFacial treats problems like lines and wrinkles, evens out skin tone and helps to eliminate clogged and enlarged pores. Sun damaged skin and hyperpigmentation can also benefit from hydra facial. Patients with active acne will see an immediate improvement as well as patients with dry and ageing skin. Lastly, oily or congested skin and rosacea-prone skin can also benefit from having a HydraFacial done here at Victoria’s.

There are a number of different skin types, all with their own set of particular problems and problem areas which need to be targeted. Your skin type will determine the type of moisturiser you should be using as well as what type of facial treatments would best benefit the type of skin you have. We recommend that you come in for a consultation with our Doctor and Registered Nurse who will be able to determine your skin type, recommend a treatment and the ideal moisturising regimen that will be suit your needs.
Why should I get a facial?
Most people already have their own facial routine but there are often times where they may not be using the correct product for their skin or don’t get the deep clean and nourishment they need. At Victoria’s Cosmedi Spa, we offer a variety of facial treatments, all with the specific aim to help improve the quality of your skin. Each treatment is custom suited to help alleviate any particular problems that your skin type may suffer from as well as deeply exfoliate and moisturise, leaving your skin refreshed and looking younger.
What causes acne scarring?
Acne is the chronic inflammation of the skin resulting in pimples on the face and body. Severe cases of acne often result in scarring of various kinds depending on the location. The most common are atrophic scars which are the depressions left on the face when acne wounds heal with too little collagen. Hypertrophic are the opposite, usually occurring on the chest and back as a result of too much collagen production. Finally some acne can leave behind dark spots or marks on the face after the pimple has left but these blemishes usually go away on their own after some months.
